Dash
Here's a track Barry composed for a dance show created by famed hoofer Wayne Sleep. The words are by famed lyricist
Don Black. I think you'll agree it belongs in the 'C - dash-dash-dash-dash -E' section. By the way, nice vocals Baz!

Yesteryear
An excerpt from Friday Night is Music Night, the long running Radio 2 series featuring the BBC Concert Orchestra with
which Baz occasionally performs as guest pianist. Here, the presenter is Robin Boyle, now sadly deceased.

Old Man Ravver
An example of the dangers of singing in a language other than your own. A frenchman has a crack at Old Man River. He
must be in Seine.

Talks for 6th Forms
Believe it or not, these incomplete fragments were taken from a genuine broadcast. For all you budding composers out
there, here's an excellent lecture on how to write a best selling foxtrot. One has to be 'friendly' with a publisher,
apparently...

Contagious Music
In the early eighties, Baz and David Palmer, (with their "background of experience in every area of music writing from
the glories of the English Madrigal School to the synthetic textures of contemporary sound") decided to create a music
production company to provide music for the advertising industry. They got as far as making this demo (which they sent
to absoluely no-one) before they got side-tracked by other things.
Bill 'the voice' Mitchell provides the voiceover. (cf "infectious rash" in Talks
for Sixth Forms)

Lie to Me
Baz was commissioned by a Saudi princess to compose the music for this fine and cheesy item, a setting of absurd
lyrics from her own pen.
It proved to be a most lucrative venture for Baz. However, the dream harboured by the princess, of becoming a
recording artiste, remains unrealised.
Postcards from The Edge
Baz collects unusually boring postcards, often depicting places he has never visited. The following series of views of Primrose Valley is a typical selection. Click on a thumb to see the full postcard.
