Baz's Mam and Dad (aka Annie and Ernest Booth, Mam and Dad, Nana and Grandad)

During his life as a collier, Baz's father, Ernest Booth, worked at many levels in the industry. From his early years at the coal-face he progressed upwards through the ranks, being at various times a shot-firer in charge of explosives, a safety officer responsible for maintaining regulations regarding pit safety, and finishing as a deputy colliery manager. He was also a union delegate for several years. He led the colliery St John's Ambulance team to success and was North Eastern Champion for many consecutive years. He was a quiet, undemonstrative and stoical man with no obvious religious leanings. However, following his death in 1982 aged 68, papers and correspondence relating to 'The Golden Dawn', a quasi-masonic, esoteric society were found among his personal effects.

Annie Booth, née Cooper, was a most dutiful wife who has survived her husband by many years, celebrating her 90th birthday in April, 2004. Always a thrifty and hardworking lady, at the age of 65 she took up needlework as a full-time hobby and has since produced a huge amount of tapestry pictures, fine tatting work, embroidery and bobbin-lace, all skills in which she was self-taught. She has held exhibitions of her work, which has been much admired in local press reviews. She was invited to appear in a television programme about Arts & Crafts but unfortunately suffered a slight stroke before the programme was made and consequently was unable to take part.

Elizabeth Tarn Booth (aka Liz, Liza, wife, mum, etc.)

Liz is currently Head Teacher at a South London Primary School.

For twelve years she was orchestral manager of the London Schools Symphony Orchestra.

A lapsed 'cellist, she lists her personal interests as: music, theatre, reading, cooking and caring for her family, (although not necessarily in that order).

Cornelius John Booth (aka Corny, C.J., son)

Corny, as he is usually known, was born at a very early age and began to grow almost immediately (he currently stands at an impressive six feet tall in his stocking feet, though he usually avoids stockings in favour of the more traditional sock). He is an actor who has worked around the world in theatre, television and film. He has also collaborated with Baz on a number of projects, most notably Nornagest, Better The World With A Song and several carols. In his spare time he dabbles in web design, live action role playing and esoteric philosophy. He also makes a mean cup of tea, as Baz can attest.

Samuel Stanford Booth (aka Sam, Sample, Steamship, son)

Samuel Stanford Booth (1979- ) is an actor in fringe theatre and short films whenever invited to be so. In 2004 he has performed for Punchdrunk, Moody Broding Co. and Jumbled Collective. He is also a founder-member of Off-Key Theatre, for which he has written, directed and produced two semi-devised playes - 'Comeback' and double award-winning 'Pull My Strings'.
